The Flash Eurobarometer survey on Women in times of COVID-19 was commissioned by the European Parliament to gather women’s opinions on the impact of the pandemic on violence against women, mental health, and the wellbeing of working women. The survey was undertaken in January/February 2022 and covered 26,741 women aged 15 or over living in the EU Member States.
This indicator presents the percentage of survey respondents that know, or do not know, women in their circle of friends and family who have experienced various forms of violence since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The data is expressed as a proportion (%) of respondents and includes a breakdown by work status.
