This indicator shows the proportion of researchers in the Higher Education Sector who are employed under precarious working contracts, by sex. In this context, precarious working contracts are defined as fixed-term contracts lasting three years or less.
This indicator replaces the earlier indicator Proportion (%) of researchers in the higher education sector (HES) working under ‘precarious’ working contracts, by sex, which can no longer be computed due to the discontinuation of the MORE survey. Note that the two indicators use different definitions and different sources and are not directly comparable.
