Description:

This indicator presents data from the EU survey on gender-based violence against women and other forms of inter-personal violence (EU-GBV survey). The first wave of this survey was conducted jointly by Eurostat, EIGE, and FRA between September 2020 and March 2024.

This indicator shows the percentage of ever-partnered women who have experienced intimate partner violence during their lifetime, by degree of urbanisation. It presents data for respondents that live in:

  • Cities 
  • Towns and suburbs 
  • Rural areas
