Description:

This indicator presents data from the EU survey on gender-based violence against women and other forms of inter-personal violence (EU-GBV survey). The first wave of this survey was conducted jointly by Eurostat, EIGE, and FRA between September 2020 and March 2024.

This indicator shows the percentage of ever-partnered women who have experienced intimate partner violence during their lifetime, by country of birth. It presents data for respondents born in the following types of countries:

• EU-countries except reporting country 

• Non-EU countries nor reporting country 

• Reporting country 

Country of birth is defined as the country of usual residence of the respondent’s mother at the time of the respondent’s birth.
