Description:

This indicator presents data from the EU survey on gender-based violence against women and other forms of inter-personal violence (EU-GBV survey). The first wave of this survey was conducted jointly by Eurostat, EIGE, and FRA between September 2020 and March 2024.

This indicator shows the percentage of ever-partnered women who have experienced intimate partner violence during their lifetime, by age group. It presents data for respondents in the following age groups:

  • 18 to 74 years 
  • 18 to 29 years 
  • 30 to 44 years 
  • 45 to 64 years 
  • 65 to 74 years 

Data for Italy (IT) is flagged ‘d’ because it is based on the 2014 National Violence Against Women survey.
