This indicator presents data from the European Commission’s 2024 flash Eurobarometer survey on gender stereotypes and violence against women (FL544).

It shows the percentage of respondents who find the following actions in a relationship to be acceptable or unacceptable:

  • A man controlling his wife’s/girlfriend’s activities or relationships
  • A man controlling his wife’s/partners finances

The indicator presents data for women, men, and total respondents.
