Description:

This indicator presents data from the EU survey on gender-based violence against women and other forms of inter-personal violence (EU-GBV survey). The first wave of this survey was conducted jointly by Eurostat, EIGE, and FRA between September 2020 and March 2024.

This indicator shows the percentage of women who have experienced violence by a non-partner since the age of 15, by country of birth. The indicator presents data for respondents born in the following types of countries:

  • EU-countries except reporting country
  • Non-EU countries nor reporting country
  • Reporting country

Country of birth is defined as the country of usual residence of the respondent’s mother at the time of the respondent’s birth.
