Description:

This indicator presents data from the EU survey on gender-based violence against women and other forms of inter-personal violence (EU-GBV survey). The first wave of this survey was conducted jointly by Eurostat, EIGE, and FRA between September 2020 and March 2024.

This indicator shows the percentage of women whose most recent experience of violence by any perpetrator occurred:

  • In the 12 months prior to the interview
  • In the 5 years prior to the interview
  • During adulthood

Data for Italy (IT) is flagged ‘d’ because it is based on the 2014 National Violence Against Women survey.
