This dataset shows how many hours in a typical week respondents spend on childcare of their own children (including step-children and adopted children). The numbers indicate what percentage (%) of all people who provide childcare to their own children (aged less than 25) have selected each hour band.
Respondents were asked "How many hours in a typical week are you involved in providing childcare for your children?" They selected one hour band from the following list:
This indicator is disaggregated by the employment status of the respondent. It groups respondents as: Employed, Self-employed, Unemployed or Inactive.
