Description:

This dataset shows the percentage distribution (%) of the respondents' main long-term care recipients by their age group.

Long-term care refers to a range of supportive services and medical assistance provided to individuals who require extended or ongoing help with activities of daily living, for a minimum of three months.

Respondents selected one option from the following list:

  • 0-5 years
  • 6-11 years
  • 12-17 years
  • 18-24 years
  • 25-49 years
  • 50-64 years
  • 65-74 years
  • 75 or more years

This indicator is disaggregated by household type. For the purposes of this indicator, five household types are distinguished:

  • Single without children
  • Lone parents or single cohabiting with children
  • In a couple without children
  • In a couple cohabitating with children
  • Other
