Description:

This indicator shows how much time women and men spend on housework tasks on a typical weekday both before and during the pandemic. Housework tasks refers to shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, financial and planning tasks.

Valid response were grouped into the three frequency categories:

  • Less than 1 hour
  • Between 1 and 4 hours
  • More than 4 hours

This indicator is disaggregated by whether respondents report having a child aged 0-17 within their household.
