Time format:

Unit:
Percentage (comparable)
Description:

This indicator shows how long it was possible for those in paid employment to work continuously without interruption.

It is based on the question:“Think of a typical day when you work/worked from home. How long can you work continuously without being interrupted … – By your children – By your partner/spouse or other relative – By another person (e.g. roommate, neighbour) – By the need to accomplish housework tasks”

Valid responses are shown for the three frequency categories:

  • Less than 1 hour
  • Between 1 and 3 hours
  • More than 3 hours

More information on the methodological aspects of EIGE’s survey ‘Gender Equality and Socio-Economic Consequences of Covid-19 crisis’ can be obtained in the technical report.

This indicator is disaggregated by age of respondent. This is grouped into three age groups: 20-34; 35-49; and 50-64.
