This indicator shows the distribution of childcare tasks among women and men with childcare responsibilities, either in their own household or another household (e.g., grandchildren), both before and during the pandemic. Childcare responsibilities are divided according to the age of the children (children aged 0-11, and children aged 12-17) and by type of childcare task (care and supervision, schoolwork, playing, and managing schedules and activities).

This indicator is disaggregated by the education level of the respondent. Responses were grouped into three levels of education according to the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED): “Low” (ISCED 1-2), “Medium” (ISCED 3-4) and “High” (ISCED 5-8).
