Description:

This dataset shows what percentage (%) of all respondents have selected each of the listed means of transportation as one of their own three most frequently used means of transportation.

Respondents could select up to 3 options from the following list:

  • Car
  • Car sharing (including taxi)
  • Privately owned motorbike or moped
  • Public transport (bus, metro, tram, ferry, train, ship, etc.)
  • Privately owned bike or scooter (including electric)
  • Shared bike, scooter or moped (including electric)
  • Walking
  • No daily or regular mobility
  • Other

This indicator is disaggregated by self-reported non-temporary disability status. It is based on responses to the following question:

"Are you limited because of a health problem in activities people usually do? Would you say you are…"

  • Severely limited (i.e. usual activities cannot be done or only done with extreme difficulty)
  • Limited but not severely (i.e. usual activity can be done but only with some difficulties)
  • Not limited at all (i.e. usual activities can be done without any difficulties)
  • Prefer not to answer

For the purposes of this indicator, people are classed as having a disability if they selected one of the first two responses above ("severely limited" or "limited") and indicated (in a follow-up question) that they have had this limitation for at least the past six months.
