F8a. Gender pay gap based on gross hourly male and female wages, full-time and part-time employees of all sectors bpfa_f__earn_gr_gpgr2

Time format:
Years
Unit:
Percentage of male wages (comparable)
Description:

The gender pay gap measures the difference between the average gross earnings of men and the average gross earnings of women in relation to the average gross wages of men, in all cases taking into account both full- and part-time workers. It is calculated using data from Eurostat's Structure of Earnings survey, which is carried out every four years, complemented with national estimates based on national sources for the intervening years.

The indicator covers all major sectors of the economy (industry, construction, and services) apart from the area of public administration and defence, and compulsory social security, for which data are incomplete for a number of countries.
