Measuring gender-disaggregated employment rates by educational attainment offers an insight into the level of knowledge and skills available in the labour market and helps to assess the extent to which the labour market offers appropriate workplaces to women and men. The indicator is intended to show the employment rate of women and men aged 25-39 and 40-64 by the highest level of education attained, based on the ISCED classification. However the relevant dataset published by Eurostat (lfsa_ergaed) does not include these specific age categories and the categories 25-49 and 40-64 have been used as the closest available matches.
