Education, health and welfare - the so-called EHW fields of education - have historically been dominated by women. This indicator looks at whether there is any evidence of the gender segregation reducing through time.
The definition of EHW fields relies on the ISCED classification of fields of education and training (ISCED-F 2013), which allows cross country comparison based on harmonised definitions. This indicator covers the following categories, for which data are provided separately and as an aggregate representing all EHW fields:
